Lorenzo Pisoni began performing in 1978 in his parent’s circus, The Pickle Family Circus. During his career as a circus performer he worked in many circuses, including Cirque Du Soleil, as a clown, juggler, aerialist, acrobat, ringmaster, working in Asia, Europe and all over of the US. In 1999, he retired after 20 years as a circus performer and moved to New York City. He began working as an actor working in his first professional job at Theatre for a New Audience’s Troilus and Cressida directed by renowned theatre director, Sir Peter Hall. Since then he has worked at Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theater Club, The Public Theater, and Second Stage As a physical comedy choreographer, calling on his training as a clown, he’s collaborated with Alan Arkin, Elaine May, Matthew Broderick, David Arquette, and Bill Irwin for both theatre and film projects.
Lorenzo has a number film projects releasing soon and a new solo show, Humor Abuse, based on true stories about being raised in a circus with a clown for a father, which was produced by Manhattan Theatre Club in the Spring 2009 and for which he won numerous Theatre Awards.
